April the 26th, 2018. “Der 3D-Druck revolutioniert die Orthopädietechnik” or rather “3D Printing Revolutionizes the Orthopaedic Technology” was subject of Simon Kühling’s presentation at the Hannover Messe this year.
The Kieler Wirtschaftsförderung (KiWi) provides a stage for Kiel.Solutions every year at the Hannover Messe. We joined Element22 and FabLab.SH with our experience in the field of orthopaedic technology as a Health.Solution.
In collaboration with orthopaedic technicians we’ve been working out the use of additive manufacturing, such as “Fused Filament Fabrication” (FFF), for specific orthopaedic devices since 2015. Rather than only the printing itself, we are focusing the whole process from the patient to the manufactured prothesis. Simon explained the “revolutionary” application of 3D printing on the basis of a prothesis test socket.
